Emilie A. Gettliffe
MSc, MA, ACC Leadership Development Coach, Consultant, and Facilitator
Leadership & Team Development Coach, Consultant, and Facilitator
Emilie believes we each have a unique magic to bring to the world, if only we can get out of our own way. As a Leadership and Executive Coach, she supports leaders in remembering their most important gifts so they can be an unstoppable force for good, address the pressing challenges of our time and create infinite ripple effects in the lives of those around them.
Even as a young girl, Emilie was already driven to make a difference in the world. Over the course of her career, she’s led programs for refugee youth, worked on education policy reform, youth employment, women’s empowerment, and global economic development. She always wanted to tackle large, impossible problems, leading her to study hard and work harder. In her never-ending quest to become a leader who mattered, she eventually found herself traveling internationally 50% of the time. Back home, she was often too exhausted to connect with anyone or anything but a glass of wine. She lost track of her heart, chasing belonging and worthiness through endless efforting. At the end of that road, she found depletion and disconnection, neglecting relationships, and forgetting her own freedom and joy.
“When you’re on your death bed, what would you regret not having done? What most energizes you? What most depletes you? Okay… now write it down.” These were questions asked by a close friend who saw Emilie’s struggle and discontent. Her answers shook up her sense of self. She began to reclaim her true gifts, while redefining leadership and impact. Emilie quit her consulting job to become a facilitator and coach and began the slow process of recovering the beauty and magic in who she is, recognizing that addressing the biggest problems of our time must start right here and now, in our own hearts. In the years since, Emilie has coached leaders and teams at the forefront of humanitarian, social, and environmental change to find grounded confidence and compassion amid impossible challenges. With her support, they uncover opportunities to move beyond the traps of endless efforting, perfectionism, and depletion, ultimately reconnecting with the flow and power of their own unique magic.

Emilie’s cross-cultural experience, commitment to inclusion and belonging, facilitator mindset, and understanding of emergent systems brings a potent mix of skills to the unique complexities organizations face today.
