Coaching, Facilitation, and Consulting Experience

Mary Shippy specializes in supporting leaders as they evolve from their current to their future career paths within an organization. As a leadership coach she helps her clients enhance their skill sets and increase their capacity to effectively navigate the changing marketplace. Her expertise is in helping leaders identify and change behaviors and attitudes that interfere with their effectiveness or limit their scope in the organization. Her clients comment on her astute observation skills and keen insights into areas of personal opportunities, leadership growth, and organizational development, often calling her their trusted advisor.

Mary coaches senior leaders including the “C” suite and VP’s within a variety of industries. She leads executive coaching cadres through the realignment process needed during organizational changes in leadership, new business initiatives, succession, and cultural transitions, and she coaches leaders in their own executive transitions.

She also works with Leadership Teams, facilitating their high-performance processes and skill development, as well as identifying behaviors and patterns that hinder their effectiveness. She consults with organizations that are defining or redefining their leadership pipelines by identifying the alignment flow from values to competencies to development –the basic Leadership DNA – within an organization. Mary also continues to research areas of concern and interest including women leaders across the generations and a new area of focus; millennial engagement and Z generation career launching.

Mary works with Dr. Brené Brown’s organization and facilitates work from Dr. Brown’s bestseller on leadership skill development, Dare to Lead. This work utilizes a methodology that is reflective, and experience-based. Topics addressed include vulnerability, courage, shame, resiliency, and worthiness, as related to all of life as well as how one leads and follows in the workplace.
